This listing is adjacent to our listing "Lakefront Haven Cottage" is also available to rent. The cottage and the main house can be rented independently or together. The dock is the primary shared amenity between the two homes.

Large back deck and screened porch with outdoor seating to enjoy the lakefront breezes, sunsets, and stars here in the Catskills. Deck includes a grill and table seating for 8. U shaped dock is shared with our neighboring listing. The flat backyard has a fire ring available for your use as well.

Bedroom 3: Two Twin Beds
Bedroom 4: Queen Bed
Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4 share a bathroom with tub.

Guest Access:

You will have access to the main house and outdoor areas including the shared dock. The driveway is circular. Guest should park on the main house side of the driveway.

The Neighborhood:

Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.

Getting Around:

I recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well.

Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you having members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.

Things To Know:

No more than 3 cars allowed.

This home is limited to 2 dogs. Dogs must be crated if you are away from the property, no exceptions.

As noted earlier, this home is part of a family complex with our listing "Lakefront Haven Cottage" next door, which can rented in tandem with this home or independently. The homes are within view of each other and shares some amenities. However, they are fully separated and private from one another.

The dock is not available from early November until the lake has thawed and levels stabilize in late spring.
